Theft or Loss of Household ContentsWe know that form filling is a real pain, but we do need you to let us have the details requested so that we can get on with dealing with your claim. What should I do now?There is no need to get estimates to replace items we will do this. For items lost or stolen, we will need you to send proof of ownership such as original invoices, receipts, manuals, photographs or guarantee certificates. Sorry, but photocopies are not acceptable, so please send originals as soon as you can. We appreciate that for lower value items this may not be possible. What will we do?We will aim to settle your claim as quickly as possible and on receipt of your claim details we will contact you within 1 week. We will normally replace items through one of our specially selected suppliers. Where this is not possible we will pay in cash. It may be necessary for one of our staff or a Loss Adjuster to visit you. This is normal claims procedure so please do not worry. We will let you know if this is necessary on receipt of your claim details. |
